Some stretches that are helpful to me are Stretching your split for 1:30 minutes every day. To keep good leaps try leaping whenever you get the chance. Leap from your kitchen to your dining room or wherever you are just to get your body used to nice stretched leap. Even if your stretches aren’t related to dance just STRETCH!!!!!!!
Lastly be sure that you get daily exercise even if it is jumping rope while watching T.V do it! Examples of good exercises for a dancer are:
· Jumping rope
· Jog your neighborhood
· Jumping Jacks basically keep your muscles moving and warm J
I like how you put something up about streching, because it seems like an imporant part of dance, and be more flexible.
ReplyDeleteReally good job on this blog! I like how it says “Anyone can dance but only few can be amazing” that is a great way to describe dancing. I would love to see some of your own experiences on your blogs. Also, I liked how you said it’s a lot of work to dance. I thought it was all about practicing dance, I never thought about strength involved in this. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you talked about stretch and conditioning. Some people think stretch is more important than conditioning but they are really equal! I also liked how you recommended stretching splits for 1:30 every day because it would improve your leaps.
ReplyDeleteI love how you put that stretching is important. I don't dance, but I do play soccer and I find that stretching before you do anything really helps. I've seen girls on my team who feel like they don't need to stretch and then they end up coming out of the game because they've pulled a muscle.
ReplyDeleteI used to do gymnastics so I used to have to leap and do all of that stuff. To get your leap bigger, and get a better stretch, get a panel mat and put one of your feet up so you have a larger range to stretch. It gives you a bigger split so you can have a better leap, and you're better stretched out.
I really appreciate how you thought stretching is important. I can really relate to that because in gymnastics you have to stretch in order to be safe and warmed up. I also thing endurence exercises are important as well. I like how you listed examples of those. I can't wait to see more
