Stretch and Conditioning

Anyone can dance but only few can be amazing! To be the best dancer that you can be you have to keep a conditioned body. Not only do you have to be fit and have muscles but you have to be flexible and able to stretch yourself to your limits and beyond.
Some stretches that are helpful to me are Stretching your split for 1:30 minutes every day. To keep good leaps try leaping whenever you get the chance. Leap from your kitchen to your dining room or wherever you are just to get your body used to nice stretched leap.  Even if your stretches aren’t related to dance just STRETCH!!!!!!!
Lastly be sure that you get daily exercise even if it is jumping rope while watching T.V do it!
Examples of good exercises for a dancer are:
·         Jumping rope
·         Jog your neighborhood
·         Jumping Jacks basically keep your muscles moving and warm J

Welcome!

Welcome to the blog that will be your guide to a dancer’s life. Hi my name is Ashley and I am a very passionate dancer. I dance over 8 hour’s week, weather that is at my studio or in my room I am constantly dancing. I also love the color lime green, shopping, and succeeding in school. When I am not dancing I’m studying and doing the hours of homework I have.
I lead a very busy life and homework is never done all at once it is done in the 15-30 minutes I have between dance classes. I have been dancing since I was able to walk and have been dancing ever since. I have to lead a healthy and active life. Dance is amazing but it can’t be your only form of exercise.  I run and ride a bike to get exercise and condition my body to be the best dancer I can be! J
